Join me for an immersive nature experience to unlock your creative flow…

The practice of photography offers diverse benefits for everyone. For some, it’s about feeling a deep connection with their surroundings to create meaningful images that tell a story. For others, capturing nature through the lens brings a sense of balance and fulfillment that can be incredibly satisfying. If you’re eager to enhance your understanding and connection with nature while honing your photography skills in a serene setting, this workshop is perfect for you. I’ll guide you on how to open your creative mind and capture the beauty of a magnificent woodland, transforming your perception and skills.

By engaging deeply with our environment, we unlock the ability to see more beauty around us, which often goes unnoticed. This enhanced perspective not only enriches your photography but also fosters a deeper appreciation for the natural world. Through guided exercises and thoughtful discussions, you’ll learn to see the world in new and inspiring ways.

Focus & Flow Coffee Meet-Up

Focus & Flow Coffee Meet-Up

Learn, Connect & Focus

I will be replacing the book club with a virtual coffee meet-up, due to lack of numbers I have considered the book club and I want to make a virtual community event which is more accessible with less expense and time to users. It can be challenging for people to read a whole book in a month, time is precious. There is also the expense too, I have decided that I can do all the research and nature fact finding for you, as well as give members photography support.

The next meet up will be the 19th December 2024 at 19:30pm. I think most people will be available in the evenings so figured this time works best. In the Focus & Flow Coffee Meet-Up meet up we will discuss things like;

  • Focus: I will be sharing interesting information about our subjects in nature and how this can change your photographic perception. We will also brainstorm ideas, photographic direction & learning

  • Flow: Creative energy and how to keep it flowing. We will look at activities to help keep you creative and shooting more. Tips to avoid creative burn out and accountability.

We will cover the above very loosely, this is more of a social meet up with a little bit of structure so we don’t sit in silence. It will be very relaxed and fluid and there is no expectation for you to contribute, you can nearly observe if you wish.

Thank you for all your continued support, I look forward to meeting some of you. Book below to secure your space.

Welcome to the Book Club, a Photography community meet-up!

Find inspiration and a sense of community through our monthly meet-ups. I feel community is a very important part of Photography. I would also love to meet more photographers and develop a social platform to connect people via a book club.

The community meet up events will run every month and are free as part of Focus Flow, one will be online and the next month will be in person to allow global members to get involved. This will alternate to enable people to join from around the world. The in-person book meet will be held at a central location in the United Kingdom so people north and south of the country can attend. By all means bring your camera with you too, it would be great to put the skills learned in the books to practice together as a group! Check out the bookings page to book on the first community meet-up.

The second book to grace this Platform is an interesting one…

The Hidden Life of Trees: Kindly nominated by a member! In this book, Peter Wohlleben shares his deep love of woods and forests and explains the amazing processes of life, death, and regeneration he has observed in the woodland and the amazing scientific processes behind the wonders of which we are blissfully unaware.

This is a live link discussion and we will discuss the book and talk all things photography connected to the book of the month. There is no obligation to read the full book if you don’t have enough time, we will cover the main points in the chat. Please book in below so I can gauge numbers and suitable venues, see calendar for dates of the book club.

We will meet at the first book club meet to discuss the book and talk all things photography. Please book in below so I can gauge numbers and suitable venues, the book club is free as part of your membership
